What We Do
September 2, 2008
Subscriptions
Subscription stock, such as books, CDs, service issues, comes into the warehouse. The Subscription department is responsible for releasing and confirming these orders. Once confirmed, invoice and labels are generated and printed. Subscription staff then packs these orders and inserts extra flyers and brouchers if needed. It is then taken to the post office on a consignment note. The final document is called an E.B.D.N. (Electronic Bulkmail Delivery Note) That document states the total number of envelopes and the cost for the day’s despatches.
Receiving
It is inbound logistical function whereby finished products are received from suppliers and customers. These goods are in turn stored in the warehouse ready for customer pre-requests.
Despatch
This is an outbound function of packing and invoicing our products that need to be distributed to local and overseas customers.
Returns
Returns is a customer-focused department which deals with customers regarding their return via telephone. Returns works with both written and e-mail queries, crediting invoices, processing orders, ensuring that returns are logged and processed on time, following up returns and attempting to reinstate subscriptions. The Returns department process credits, investigate E.P Returns, print copy invoices and pass details to customer service for further follow-up.
